Cyber Security Analyst Job at Ziegler CAT
Ziegler CAT has an opening for a Cyber Security Analyst responsible for protecting the company's network and systems from cyber attacks. This involves researching current cyber security trends and threats, scanning for and fixing vulnerabilities, and making recommendations for improving cyber security for the organization as the threat landscape changes. This is a hybrid remote position out of our Bloomington headquarters location.
Responsibilities:

Assess and address security risks during the development stages of software systems, networks, and data centers.

Identify vulnerabilities and risks in hardware and software.
-
Conduct internal and external vulnerability scans.
-
Insure firewalls are configured to provide the least risk to the organization.
-
Monitor and respond to attacks and intrusions.
-
Understand current threats and tactics used by threat actors, and make recommendations to mitigate risk.

Complete understanding of the tools used for security including antivirus, endpoint protection, privileged access manager, firewalls, and any others.

Secure access to all internet facing systems such as servers, routers, and firewalls, for both on premise and cloud infrastructure.

Assist in cyber security audits, assessments, and questionnaires when needed.

In depth knowledge of all authentication services used such as MFA, AD, Azure AD, WiFi, etc.

Understanding of backup and recovery processes, disaster recovery procedures, RPO and RTO.

Patch and mitigate detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high security standard

Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management
Qualifications:
-
A bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent preferred
-
Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
-
Experience in working with information security or other relevant work experience
-
Knowledge of penetration testing, network security, and the techniques used to expose and correct security flaws
-
A broad understanding of security technologies including firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus software, and IDPs
-
The ability to identify vulnerabilities on on-premises and external networks, correct problems, and prevent security breaches
-
The ability to think critically and innovatively about the security solutions that can keep data safe while still allowing high-availability systems to the business

Experience with the following systems is a plus: CyberArk products, Palo Alto Firewall, Azure, Office 365, Cisco IOS, Windows Operating Systems, Okta
