Peraton is seeking a Cyber Ops Network Engineer to collaborate with an advanced software development team building cutting edge cyber capabilities. In this position, you will conduct operational testing of software tools and end-to-end tool chain integration testing to determine tool's vulnerabilities in real-life scenarios. You will coordinate with end users to develop viable CONOPs, build simulated operational environments and test tools in this operational-like environment. You will conduct network testing with a variety of network gear and configurations to characterize a tool's signature and operational forensics artifacts.


Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Engineering or other technical fields of study;
  • 10-12 years of experience in network engineering or other relevant work, 8-10 years of experience with an MS degree, or 5-7 years with a Phd.
  • Demonstrable experience with conducting network forensics analysis
  • Demonstrated experience with enterprise routing and switching platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience with SOHO and WiFi platforms and equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience in operation and configuration of network infrastructure applications and appliances.
  • Demonstrated experience with network management services & tools.
  • Experience with IP network ports, protocols/security, and extensive knowledge of current technologies in these areas.
  • Demonstrated experience with traffic generation tools
  • Knowledge of a program lanaguage such as Python, C, C++, PHP.
  • Knowledge of public key infrastructure and cryptography protocols.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and risk management methodologies.

Desired Qualifications

  • Current certification in one or more of the following or equivalent:
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate - routing and switching
    • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
    • EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Demonstrated experience working with/in the Intelligence Community
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams performing technical tasks
  • Demonstrated experience communicating technical information to technical and non-technical audiences

Salary Range: Salary Minimum: $72,500 Salary Mid: $145,000 Salary Maximum: $181,300 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Peraton provides a variety of benefits to employees.
