Customer Service Representative Job at Innovative-IDM, LLC
High School or College Grads with High Energy welcome to apply for this VIP - Very Important Position - in Northwest Houston location (249@Beltway). The job title is "Customer Service Rep", yet it's so much more. We train, but you must possess a high level of intelligence, emotional IQ and perseverance. This is not a giant call center for robotic responses; this is a customer service team where people work together, own customer problems, and must decide what is best for the customer without looking at a script.
You'll serve as the customer's primary point of contact and own customer issues, via phone and email, from start to finish. You must be a keen problem solver with a unique ability to think on your feet. You should be comfortable taking initiative to help customers, and want to work within an energetic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Make independent decisions regarding this central questions: "What is best for the customer?"
- Common sense and customer needs must prevail; decision making is important and necessary.
- Assist customers nationwide as well as locally.
- Work closely with customer care reps at our suppliers. We use supplier intranets, websites.
- Communicates with vendors to acquire parts to meet customer needs.
- Researches and resolves difficult customer service situations in a calm and efficient manner.
- Functions as liaison between customer, technicians, warehouse and vendors to ensure needs are met.
- Brings problems to the attention of a manager; is willing to ask for help.
- Identifies and introduces new ideas and solutions to create efficiency in the operation.
Education and/or Experience:
- Highschool Diploma, College a plus.
- 4+ years of experience of customer care experience including order entry, order status, outbound phone follow-up on quotes and orders.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Includes any required computer skills, regulatory knowledge, language, etc.):
- 40+ WPM typing*
- Attitude, attitude, attitude = Can do!
- Possesses a guest service mentality; has a genuine desire to serve the customer.
- Idea person. How can we do things better?
- Self-starter who works independently and is self-motivated.
- Manages multiple projects and timelines with a sense of urgency.
- Well organized and detail oriented.
*(Candidates will be given an assessment to evaluate their skill in tasks performed/required in this role.)
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
