Our Nursing Home unit is comprised of 40 beds with clinical and registered nursing care, and our Assisted Living unit is comprised of 50 individual apartments and 14 memory care apartments. An additional 160 Independent Living apartments and 40 Cottages on campus ensure a wide variety of options for a vibrant Senior Living experience. Shift: Monday - Friday, Evenings (2-10pm)

GENERAL SUMMARY:

We are looking for caring, compassionate and hard-working people like you to join the Assisted Living department here at Piper Shores! The CRMA/PSS performs a wide variety of tasks including assistance with activities of daily living, responding to routine and emergency calls, performing routine nursing duties, and personal care activities and medication distribution.

Essential Job Duties:

Nursing Assistant (Assisted Living) Responsibilities:

• Assists residents with activities of daily living, including but not limited to, dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Documents residents’ activities of daily living.
• Maintains the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident.
• Gives treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed, under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
• Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed.
• Answers signal lights promptly.
• Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly.

CRMA (Assisted Living) Responsibilities:

• Safely prepares, administers, and charts oral, topical, and suppository drugs.
• Follows administration protocol. Administers medication only upon a written physician’s order.
• Records administration of the medication on resident’s medication administration record. Discards medication refused or otherwise not given and refusals.
• Reports medication errors or reactions to medications immediately to the Assisted Living Manager.
• Performs accurate pulse and blood pressure and recognizes their significance in drug therapy.

Skills and Qualifications:

• CRMA licensed in the State of Maine.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Practices a "person-centered" approach to care with a positive and friendly demeanor.
• Experience working with a senior population preferred.

Benefits and Salary Information:

Base Pay is based upon your years of experience in health care or related fields.

• $2.25/ hour Shift differential for (2p-10p) each day.
• $3,000 Retention bonus paid quarterly for all Evening CRMA's.
