Position serves as Court Reporter for the Problem-Solving Court with primary responsibility as reporter for PSC court proceedings and filings. Also performs numerous tasks related to facilitating the proper functioning of the Problem-Solving Courts, and must successfully interact with existing court staff, employees of other offices, and the public.
DUTIES:
Reports all PSC proceedings. Makes all docket entries and types, processes filings, and prepares orders and referrals. Communicates with jail all transports necessary for court hearings and assessments. Manages all filing and mailing. Maintains the PSC participant spreadsheet to include participant referrals and status. Maintains the schedule of participant hearings and communicates such to partnering agencies. Prepares and ensures timely processing of Court notices, correspondence, and related documents.
Answers multiline telephone for the Problem-Solving Court and purveys relevant information to callers. (Note: Ability to multitask is critical.) Receives Problem Solving Court visitors. Answers inquiries from the public on specific subject matter relating to Problem Solving Court proceedings (status, referrals, termination, etc.).
Manages office supplies and assists in keeping the PSC office orderly. Picks up and distributes mail in the Court Administration office. Assists with coordination of the PSC graduation ceremony.
Must be able to type between 40 and 70 words per minute.
Also performs related duties as assigned by the presiding Judge and Problem-Solving Court Coordinator.
