What you will do:
  • Establish working relationships with internal stakeholders for clear financial reporting and transparency.
  • Numbers, Numbers, and more Numbers. Own the compliance and accounting responsibility for all renovation or construction projects across our various communities to serve as the gatekeeper around the financial integrity of design & construction projects
  • Leverage and maintain Systems. Create a strong control environment governed by supporting documentation with all project records from bids to contracts to project completion packages.
  • Develop and enhance the financial architecture to support cost accounting project reporting, and monthly accounting to keep ownership and management informed with accurate information for decision making
What you should have:
  • The ability to connect with others to keep the team aligned and focused.
  • An analytical ability to collect and use information to solve complex problems.
  • The technical experience to ascertain that the method of soliciting, evaluating, and awarding contracts is in accordance with the adopted bidding procedures and/or customary trade practices.
  • The planning and financial acumen to oversee and maintain the vetting, approval of Construction Contractors / Vendors – to meet all Corporate Guidelines and Objectives (inclusive of necessary documentation) as well as the process of maintaining, updating and reporting on all Capital / Renovation expenses.
  • Deep understanding (8 years+) of project cost control within the construction industry. A proven track record of delivering projects, and results, is required. Prior leadership experience required. Doing any, or all of that, in a multi-family environment would be good too.
  • Fanatical discipline and relentless desire to do what needs to be done.
  • A love for doing what others won’t and solving very difficult problems.
  • A desire to grow and take on ever increasing responsibility.

Base Salary: $140,000 - $205,000
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience & location.
