Summary/Objective:
As a Corporate Development Associate, you will be responsible for identifying strategic investment, partnership, or acquisition opportunities to fuel Bigge’s growth. Working directly with Bigge senior executives, this position will manage an ongoing portfolio of corporate development projects and coordinate all aspects of the company’s M&A activities, from managing a deal flow pipeline, conducting due diligence, deal negotiation, and execution, to coordinating post-transaction integration processes.
A successful candidate for this role will be a hands-on executor with proactive communication skills. This role needs to interface effectively across all levels of the organization. This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development of Bigge’s corporate development strategy.
- Identify and manage a pipeline of opportunities that fit the corporate development strategy.
- Lead both qualitative and quantitative analyses of prospective opportunities.
- Serve as the deal quarterback across all elements of the deal process, including acquisition rationale, valuation modeling, due diligence, deal negotiations, etc.
- Develop strong knowledge of our industry and deliver insightful analyses of market opportunities to inform our M&A strategy.
- Manage post-acquisition integration, including management and oversight of cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of M&A integration plans.
- Build relationships with key players in the industry.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships across the organization to ensure success in both organic and inorganic growth.
- Work independently in a team-oriented and fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
- Interface with different levels and functions of the organization as well as with external parties such as banks, lawyers, customers and contractors.
- Analyze market data to identify trends and acquisition opportunities in support of Bigge.
- This is a hands-on role.
Requirements:
- Strong academic credentials, bachelor's required, MBA preferred.
- 5+ years prior on-the-job experience in an Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Private Equity, Accounting/Valuation, or related position.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and fluency in performing rigorous financial, valuation, and other quantitative analyses.
- Experience building both internal and external relationships to drive company growth.
- Leadership ability and comfort in presenting and working with senior executives.
- Strong attention to detail and project management skills, including the ability to deliver quality work in high-intensity environments.
- Crane or rental equipment experience is not required.
- This position can be worked as a remote position within the United States.
