Corporate Controller - Construction Job at Professional Search, Inc. Int'l
Rapidly growing global design-build enterprise is seeking qualified Controllers to lead our accounting teams for each of our lines of business. We are a global leader in services related to the design, construction, augmentation, and fortification of mission critical infrastructure, such as datacenters, power generation/transmission and telecommunications.
The individuals must possess strong business acumen along with solid leadership and supervisory experience managing accounting functions for enterprises of similar scale.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years of experience in financial management in a directly related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented. Minimum of five years at assistant controller level or above for enterprise with similar scale.
- Minimum four-year degree in in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from a major university. MBA in Accounting, Finance and/or Economics a plus, but not required.
- Experience in public accounting and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is desired, but not required.
- Additional relevant certifications a plus.
- Fluency in written and oral English.
- Analytical ability, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Ability to maintain a "big-picture" focus while ensuring short-term goals are accomplished.
- Position may require some travel.

CONTROLLER
1. Reports to CFO.
2. Position based in corporate office in Dallas, Texas.
3. Construction industry experience is required.
4. Government Contracting experience a big plus, but not an absolute requirement.
5. Manufacturing industry experience is a big plus, but not an absolute requirement.
6. International, multi-currency experience a plus, but not required.
7. Major ERP experience required. Experience with Deltek Costpoint and SAP Concur a plus.
8. Proficiency with SQL and Business Intelligence (BI) tools, such as Cognos, Hyperion a plus.
9. Experience with setup and maintenance of contract, vendor, subcontractor, employee timekeeping and expense reporting applications in a project-based enterprise.
10. Directs and supervises financial services staff in accounting and financial reporting analysis/activities including day-to-day accounting, weekly payment cycle, month end and year-end close.
11. Prepare and analyzes reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expense, and earnings based on past, present and expected operations and risks. This may include summary reports on project progress, monthly overhead reports, weekly cash flow forecasts, balance sheet, income statement, etc.
12. Analyzes and communicates variances between projected results and actual results by project on a monthly basis.
13. Participates in budgeting and forecasting process in concert with operations management.
14. Assists operations team in reviewing estimates and owner billings as well as set up and maintenance of project level cost report.
15. Builds effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
16. Ensures compliance with accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
17. Development and training of financial department staff.
18. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
