CorPORATE Accounting Payroll Specialist Job at Lotus Communications
Position Summary:
The Corporate Payroll Specialist reports to the Corporate Controller. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, processing payroll for corporate and other divisions, as needed, and ensure accuracy of full cycle payroll functions. Requires a strong understanding of multi-state tax laws, local regulations, and Wage and Hour laws and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Associate's or bachelor's degree in business or accounting preferred
Proven experience of 5+ years in a payroll position in a fast-paced environment required
Maintain highest standards of confidentiality and adherence to privacy, Department of Labor, and ERISA compliance
Knowledge and experience using payroll software ADP Workforce Now preferred
Experience with ADP Payroll Administration and Implementations, Reporting including Time and Attendance, Custom Reports, ADP Tax Compliance, Benefit Plan Administration
Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
Strong knowledge of wage and hour legislation, regulations, and legal updates
Payroll experience multi-states and multi-jurisdiction tax compliance
Proficiency in MS Office Suite including strong Excel skills required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to multitask and has strong organizational skills
Strong analytical, accounting, computer skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines
Motivated, self-starter, strong work ethic
Adaptable, collaborative mindset, and ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Office environment, some repetitive motion required. May require some travel, valid drivers’ license is required with good driving record.
