POSITION SUMMARY:

The Copy Center Supervisor provides leadership and first-line supervision of all phases of operations of the Copy Center including: staffing and training of TEAMembers, volunteers, scheduling and assigning copy production work. This includes communicating with internal customers regarding their copy needs, implementing appropriate quality measures and assists in all aspects of the design and control. The Copy Center Supervisor operates digital high-speed monochrome and color copies and related copy/bindery production equipment, manages inventories of paper and supplies and performs daily routine maintenance on equipment and color calibration of color printers.


This position embraces all components of the job, fostering an environment that allows Tabitha to provide optimum care to Tabitha’s Seniors/residents/clients (hereinafter, “Seniors/clients.” This TEAMember strives to uphold Tabitha’s LIVE2Care Culture and actively embraces Tabitha’s Core Values. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensures the coordinated delivery of Copy Center services by effectively supervising all phases of the operation including scheduling all work into the copy center, controlling the workload, and maintaining a synchronized production schedule with Printing Services.
  • Ensures that the Copy Center consistently produces a quality product by implementing appropriate quality control standards for copy layout, document preparation for copying, alignment legibility, and control of copy density.
  • Meets the customer's copy product needs by being thoroughly knowledgeable of various copy products available in the Copy Center, discussing the customer's copy product needs, providing options to satisfy those needs, and delivering the copy product as requested.
  • Assists in maintaining an efficient operation by performing daily routine maintenance on equipment, requesting maintenance services when required, reporting monthly meter readings to equipment vendors, and submitting weekly reports on downtime of Copy Center.
  • Develops an efficient and effective Copy Center team consisting of part-time TEAMembers, volunteers, and student workers by hiring qualified applicants; training the new TEAMembers in Copy Center operations, policies, and procedures; cross-training all TEAMembers in areas such as accounting procedures, record keeping, fax machine and duplicator, digital, and bindery equipment operation; assigning work responsibilities; evaluating work performance; and recommending the termination of TEAMembers as appropriate.
  • Utilizes digital printing software for desktop publishing, addressing mail pieces, and variable data printing.
  • Acts as a representative of Tabitha at all times, demonstrating professionalism in dress and appearance, courtesy, poise, attitude, interactions.

Qualifications:
COMMUNICATION: Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language as well as terminology and jargon specific to the job. Sufficient fluency to be able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, provide instructions to others, read and understand policies, procedures or other similar documentation, interact successfully with elders/clients/caregivers, hold a conversation, conduct or participate in meetings, compose professional e-mails or other written communication, prepare legible, accurate and thorough documentation as required by the job and effectively interact with coworkers, customers, vendors, volunteers, managers and family members. Ability to recognize and interpret non-verbal cues. Ability to respond calmly and clearly to emergencies and emotional situations.


WORKSITE CONDITIONS: Works indoors in a facility maintained by Tabitha that will typically be in good repair, clean, well ventilated and well lit. Work is performed in a standard copy center setting at Tabitha’s main campus. Stands for long periods of time. Works beyond normal scheduled hours and on weekends and holidays when assigned. Is subject to extended hours or callback during emergency conditions or based upon needs of the organization.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
: Ability to gain access to the work area and then safely perform the duties of the job while utilizing standard and specialized equipment, including but not limited to the equipment described below. Ability to move about the work area and walk long distances within the living community buildings. Vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction) Must have unrestricted lift/push/pull ability and pass a 50 - pound physical exam demonstrating strength and agility prior to employment and from time to time thereafter at Tabitha’s discretion.


EQUIPMENT USAGE: Standard and specialized equipment including computer, photocopier, scanner, calculator, sign cutter, exacto knife, saddle stitcher, drill press (for paper), bindery machine, laminator, folder, scorer/perforator, guillotine trimmer, hand trimmer, two-wheel and four wheel carts, tape gun, and box cutter.

AGE REQUIREMENT:
At least age 18.

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent.


EXPERIENCE: 6 months copy/print experience preferred. Mechanical background preferred. Basic knowledge of medical supplies preferred. Ability to work accurately with numbers required. Previous PC experience preferred.

CREDENTIALS:
Valid Nebraska Driver’s license (unless otherwise allowed by law) and a good driving record required. Must possess auto insurance at or above Nebraska statutory requirements. Must meet Tabitha's vaccination requirements.
