Under the direction of the Director of Contracts & Proposals, the Contracts Specialist will assist with the preparation and review of new contracts, contract modifications, master services agreements, and other related functions in the contracts process.

• Assists in reviewing, drafting and negotiating sales contracts such as software licensing agreements, master services agreements custom software agreements, and other ancillary documentation for business
• Works closely with other teams throughout the company in coordinating contractual and technical commitments and providing contract guidance
• Facilitates the contract documentation, approval and signature processes and ensures all contractual obligations are in adherence with company policies, regulatory requirements and business strategy
• Provides timely responses to internal and external inquiries
• Identifies risk elements associated with specific contract terms and communicate risks for business decisions at the proper level
• Assists in identifying and implementing process improvements
• Collaborates with Proposals Team to review terms and conditions and contracts received in a request for proposal
• Tracks contract progress for business development and analysis
• Establishes and builds customer relationships

Position Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field and/or paralegal certificate
• A minimum of 1 years’ experience in contracts administration and negotiations preferred
• Experience with software products a plus
• High attention to detail and strong reading comprehension skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work independently and as a team member
• Exceptional verbal and written legal communication, proofing and editing skills, and a demonstrated ability to recognize proper use of grammar, punctuation, and spelling
• Enthusiasm for expanding knowledge and skills to meet the needs of a dynamic technology office
• Excellent task management and organizational skills
• Computer literacy including proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat with the ability to grasp other software applications required to perform job duties, including the ability to work with electronic contract documentation
• High ethical standards and positive attitude
