What we are looking for:

Maldonado-Burkett is seeking an experience Construction Laborer for the Corpus Christi, Texas area. This position will perform any number of general laborer tasks under the direction of a supervisor for highways, roadways, traffic, lighting and electrical.

How you'll make an impact as a Construction Laborer:

• Use a variety of tools and machines such as jackhammers, drills, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying, and measuring equipment, grinders, saws, pressure washers, brooms, shovels, wheelbarrow, and carpenter tools.
• May dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, and clean up rubble, debris.
• May set up markers, cones, barricades, and may be used as a flagger to control traffic
• Dependable
• Hardworking and willing to learn
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required
• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
• Adhere to strict safety standards and procedures

Physical Requirements and Work Environment of a Construction Laborer:

• Must be able to twist, stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch as required to perform essential functions for extended periods of time.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds, carry at least 30 pounds and up to 150 pounds with help.
• Be able to work in extreme weather conditions, hot and cold weather.

What it takes to be successful as a Construction Laborer:

• Valid Class C Driver’s License is required

Conditions of Employment:

• Applicant will be subject to a Motor Vehicle Record Check. Satisfactory driving records are required for driving company or personal vehicles and motor driven equipment to conduct company business.
• Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Safety impact employees will be subject to additional drug and alcohol testing throughout his/her employment.
• As part of its employment process, M-B may procure or have prepared a criminal background check. An applicant with an unsatisfactory criminal background check report is ineligible to be hired for the position for which the report is initiated.
