Our Information and Cybersecurity Team is looking to add a Communications Specialist to produce and oversee communications surrounding cybersecurity-related strategic initiatives, programs, as well as more tactical events. This individual will work closely with team leaders across the organization and our dedicated security professionals to create and execute communications for security related initiatives, events, and program updates as needed for both internal and external audiences. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently and can easily communicate technical information through written and verbal methods to users of all technical knowledge levels.
This position can be based to work out of any Jack Henry office or remote from any US location. Travel up to 5% for team meetings will be required. Salary for this position will be $55-85k, depending on candidate experience and geographic location.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Serves as a primary resource for Information and Cyber Security communications, communication campaigns and materials.
- Collaborates with marketing, human resources, legal, and other internal departments as needed to carry out Information and Cyber Security initiatives.
- Writes and edits moderately complex security-related collateral and internal and external campaigns in accordance with company style. Campaigns may consist of a variety of tactics including direct mail, websites and other electronic mediums, presentations, social media content, and other deliverables.
- Monitors and maintains a project/editorial calendar to ensure initiatives are executed within expected timeframes.
- Assists in the creation, enhancement, and execution of internal processes to ensure operational efficiency of communications, including event-driven communications such as incident management and response.
- May perform other job duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to have:
- Must have a minimum of four years of experience in any of the following: technical writing, corporate communications, project coordination, or implementation.
- Must have experience working with technical teams or in the technology industry.
- Must have experience communicating to business leaders and technology users.
What would be nice for you to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications.
- Knowledge or experience in cybersecurity practices.
- Experience presenting to executives.
