Title: Commercial Installer

Department: Office and Commercial

Employment Status: Hourly – Non Exempt-full time

Reports To: Furniture installation manager / Commercial Dispatchers

General Position Summary

Work with a great team to complete professional grade installations of new and used office furniture, shelving, and cubicle systems. We deliver and install all major brands including Steelcase, Herman Miller/ Knoll, Kimball, Haworth, Teknion, Hon, All Steel, and Global. Essential Functions / Major responsibilities

• Understand the basic steps and principles of building office systems furniture.
• Maintain knowledge of all major manufactures and systems furniture.
• Ability to read, understand, and execute detailed furniture blueprints.
• Identify and check off installation product from packing lists and installation take off sheets.
• Develop an understanding of Electrical involvement in an office furniture system’s project.
• Work with Project Manager to understand all needs of the project
• Being efficient during unloading and staging of systems furniture.
• Get along with superiors, coworkers, subordinates, and contractors
• development of leadership skills and training of coworkers where needed as executed by the Installation Foreman or Supervisor.
• Create and communicate installation punch lists.
• Professional finishing of projects including debris removal, wipe down, and leveling.

Education and/or Experience

• Minimum of one year experience in the installation industry preferred.
• Possession of mechanical aptitude.

Tools Needed

· Basic:

o Cordless drill & drill bit set

o Screwdrivers – flat head & Phillips head

o Screwdriver bits (including allen keys / hex keys)

o Level

o Rubber Mallet

o Pliers

o Prybar

Job Conditions

• Fast paced work environment.
• Overtime and travel when necessary.
• Often work in teams consisting of two men and a truck

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

· Monday - Friday. Rarely on Saturdays.

• Varies based on customer needs
• Full time and overtime
