We are looking for an experienced Stone Fabricator to join our team at a stone surfaces fabrication shop. As a Stone Fabricator, you will be responsible for transforming raw stone materials into finished products, including countertops, fireplaces, and other stone surfaces. You will also be required to learn how to operate our CNC bridge saw using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in stone fabrication techniques and have a solid understanding of how to use computers.
Responsibilities:
- Cut, shape, and polish stone surfaces using a variety of hand tools and machinery, including saws, grinders, and polishers.
- Operate our CNC bridge saw using CAD and CAM software to produce accurate and precise cuts and shapes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, project specifications, and technical drawings to ensure that finished products meet design requirements.
- Inspect and evaluate raw stone materials for quality, identifying any defects or irregularities that may affect the finished product.
- Collaborate with the design team to provide input on fabrication methods, recommend improvements, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in stone fabrication, with a strong knowledge of industry best practices and techniques.
- Proficiency in using computers and a willingness to learn how to operate our CNC bridge saw using CAD and CAM software.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Physical dexterity and the ability to work with hand tools and machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
