About the role:

We are currently seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our Network, Server & Storage team, based in our St Louis headquarters. The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer position designs, builds, configures, and implements all aspects of infrastructure related to the Cloud Computing, Virtual Operating Systems and Network environments. The position also interacts with multiple support towers providing technical guidance, oversight, and acts as the point of escalation for cloud compute, virtual operating systems and networks.

Duties will include:

• Collaborate with team members and leadership to develop road maps and strategies for on-premise, cloud and network technologies
• Champion, design, and implement enterprise architecture, roadmaps, and compute adoption.
• Educate teams on implementation strategies and initiatives.
• Liaison with support staff in relation to lifecycle management for on-premise, cloud operating systems and networks
• Designs, implements, and performs business continuity and disaster recovery testing exercises.
• Participate in the design, implementation, and management of workload automation initiatives.
• Provide relevant documentation relating to design and implementation for handover to support staff
• Performs installation, configuration, setup and testing for cloud migrations.
• Act as a technical liaison between operations, engineers, and architects in relation to on-premise, cloud infrastructure and networks
• Provide critical insight into upcoming implementations and strategies, including validating ongoing solution supportability.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and reporting of cloud infrastructure availability, and performance.
• Proficiency in datacentre migrations and consolidations including capacity planning, virtualization, and best practices.

This position is a full-time role, working from our corporate headquarters in St Louis, MO. Peabody offers flexible work policies, including hybrid office / home working arrangements and opportunity to finish at noon on Friday’s.

About you:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 5+ years Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 7 or 11, Server 2016 and 2019)
• 3+ years in any type of virtualization (vmware, hyper-v, other)
• 2+ years cloud management (preferably Azure)
• 2+ years preferred in network level 1 and 2 support (VPN, SD-Wan, Wireless)

Physical Requirements – Office

• Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing
• Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment
• Must be able to use a computer
• Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
