Clothing Personalization Job at Hyper X Racewear
Hyper X Racewear is a custom apparel company located within the Backcountry Distribution Center in southern Christiansburg. We are responsible for adding name and number customizations to the backs of motocross jerseys and hoodies. Our small team is looking to add a self driven individual with good time management skills, dependable, and has a “get it done” attitude.
The position requires a close adherence to work processes where repeatable results are needed, and is mainly accomplished working as an individual, without a great dependence on other people. The ideal candidate is a strong visual problem solver, with high attention to detail: able to perceive and copy design details to match a given template, as well as adapt designs when needed. Graphic design knowledge is a big plus, but not required. Training will be provided.
The position is 50% computer and graphic design work, and 50% on your feet applying the graphics to the merchandise. Ability to bend, stoop, lift 10-25lbs, and stand for 3-8hrs are necessary. The position requires use of a large format printer, heat-press operation, and graphic software daily.
3-5 days a week, M-F, no weekends and holidays! Part-time, flexible schedule. You set your own schedule as long as all of the products are sent out daily at a reasonable time. This makes it an ideal position for someone with another part-time job, or a student with classes. Average workday is 3-6 hours, but bumps up to 8 hours over the holiday season.
Skills and Requirements:
- 18 years or older
- Ability to lift 10-25lbs from ground to above shoulders
- Repetitive movements of the arms, bending, and walking
- Knowledge of Google Sheets or ability to learn
- Knowledge of graphic software a plus (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc)
Compensation:
- Up to $17/hr determined by experience, with a possibility for a lead position post training
