Job Title: Clinical Director
Reports to: Executive Director
Job Description
The Clinical Director assures that the quality of detoxification services is maintained throughout the program. The Clinical Director will supervise all staff. The Clinical Director will perform duties while adhering to the organization's values and principals.
Education and Qualifications
- The Clinical Director shall be a licensed professional that may include: LCSW, MFT, Licensed Psychologist, or Physician. 30% of counseling staff shall be licensed or certified.
- Candidate should have experience working in the field of chemical dependency in dealing with specific population needs or at least one year of experience doing any type of counseling services as a licensed clinician.
- Candidate should have at least one year of management experience.
- TB test results.
- 1staid/cpr certification.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Review resident records and confer with other related professionals for further course of counseling treatment.
- Will clinically assess all new residents.
- Conduct clinical group and individual sessions.
- Review and approved admissions.
- Sign off on treatment plans developed by counseling staff.
- Develop treatment plans.
- Admit residents into residential treatment
- Conducting urine screens, self-medications management, protocols, and the secure search/storage of personal property.
- Inform the Executive Director in a timely manner of all relevant political, financial, clinical, and liability issues and makes recommendations for any changes in procedures.
- Ensures the confidentiality of resident files and information.
- Perform intake and discharge sessions.
- Assure that a quality improvement program is implemented.
- Assure that performance reviews are completed annually for staff under direct supervision, including establishing specific, individual professional development goals.
- Coordinate admissions and discharge of residents.
- Provide information and referrals to residents within community resources.
- Provide back-up clinical care to residents when assigned staff is unavailable, or as needed.
- Interview residents and establish mental and physical condition.
- Intervene in crisis and emergency situations, when necessary.
- Review all incident reports. Consider actions to be taken and implement changes to prevent future incidents.
