Job Description
The Clinical Director will be responsible for the oversight of the Behavioral Services and Clinical Programs. Must have strong focus on the CMH population i.e.; developmental disabilities / Autism / Mental illness / dual diagnosis. The Clinical Director will partner with management and executive team members to increase the proficiency of the programs throughout Eisenhower Center with a focus on improving standards of care, identifying areas of need, improving staff awareness of appropriate interventions, and developing strategies to drive behavior change. The Clinical Director will lead the implementation of behavioral and clinical improvement processes to enhance our program efficacy. Role and Responsibilities
- Develop process to ensure advancement of skills within clinical and behavioral teams
- Train staff in observation, data collection and implementation of behavior protocols
- Participate in team, clinical, and other staff or management meetings
- Ensure documentation is completed in an efficient manner to allow for accurate and timely billing
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with local agencies, universities, and hospitals.
- Review treatments plans and reports
- Set clearly defined clinical delivery goals and establish accountability for them
- Consult with Admissions team on reviewing residential referrals and participating in field evaluations
- Develop treatment plans and provide services which are congruent with the IPOS goals of each resident
- Provide direction and facilitate a smooth coordination of care between the Washtenaw Intermediate School District and Eisenhower Center
- Facilitate student/intern placement and work with colleges and universities
- Supervise Eisenhower Center’s clinical team which includes Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Psychologists, Speech and Language Pathologists, and Musical Therapists
- Demonstrate adherence to state practice standards and ethical codes of professional conduct in all clinical practices
- Provide quality assurance for clinical services and identify, establish, and maintain therapy outcomes
- Manage caseloads of all clinical team members to ensure appropriate resident care
- Supervise the outpatient program and manage all clinical needs of the program
- Develop connections and marketing opportunities with psychiatric hospitals, rehabilitation units as well as Mental Health Boards
- Report on appropriate clinical measures to the executive team on a regular basis
- Meet budget expectations and manage expenses to provide efficient and effective clinical services
- Supervise Eisenhower Center’s ABA therapy team which includes providing formal supervision hours for BCBAs, BCaBAs, and RBTs as needed.
- Manage RBTs and BAs and oversee caseloads to ensure appropriate resident care
- Provide knowledge base and expertise with empirically supported treatment interventions
- Maintain database to manage client programs in consultation with Behavior Technicians
- Oversee development and maintenance of Autism/ABA trainings for staff on Residential Autism units
- Conduct fidelity assessments of BCBAs, BCaBAs, and RBTs
- Oversee departmental adherence to the BACB Code of Ethics and HIPAA
- Provide assigned caseload hours per week for direct therapy and treatment planning
- Prepare monthly and quarterly progress reports as needed and conduct appropriate assessments
- Identify client-centered reinforcers and develop intervention plans utilizing these reinforcers in ways that achieve and maintain measurable goals
- Conduct ongoing risk/safety assessments and participate in monthly safety committee meetings
- Any other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- PhD in Psychology or MSW Social Work, or in relation (i.e., PHD / Clinical NP/APN)
- Ability to adapt in multiple faceted working environments
- Previous experience with CMH practices (i.e., IPOS, Authorizations)
- Experience in supervision, scheduling, and delivery in a clinical setting
