LOCATION: Dallas, TX
SUMMARY:
The Private Client Manager is responsible for managing and servicing a book of personal lines business. The Client Manager also works with a personal lines Producers in handling all the inside service work associated with the client's program, including all endorsement activity, routine coverage questions, problem solving, renewal control, preparation of formal proposals, checking and booking policies. Knowledge of basic insurance products and pricing tools are essential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, including but not limited to:
- Manage and retain clients’ accounts with an emphasis on customer service and client satisfaction;
- Handle new and renewal business, negotiate with carrier for pricing and coverage, work to increase business on existing accounts by adding other coverage;
- Advise clients to ensure we are using the best market to meet clients’ expectations;
- Direct preparation of folders/binders for specifications, proposal or policies;
- Request renewal information for client;
- Prepare and present proposals and summaries;
- Oversee issuance of binders, invoices, certificate and documents on renewals;
- Answer client questions and help resolve coverage related problems;
- Other duties may be assigned.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Applied or AMS experience a plus.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Minimum of two (2) years of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have intermediate to advanced working knowledge of a variety of Microsoft Office computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
- Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires teamwork, demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
