Mission Montessori is seeking a Classroom and Administrative Assistant to be a daily presence at our school supporting our community at various levels.

We love to see people grow with us. We often sponsor our assistant teachers for Montessori training so they can become lead teachers, and administrative support roles are an excellent way to prepare for leadership positions.

Job Responsibilities*

• substituting or supporting as needed in our infant, toddler, primary, and elementary programs
• greeting visitors and helping them feel welcome
• working curbside, drop-off, and pick-up
• helping with ordering and deliveries and setting out snacks
• photocopying, filing, and printing
• answering the phone and taking voicemails
• helping with scheduling
• drafting emails
• helping coordinate events and doing set-up and tear-down (including on some evenings and weekends)
• promoting and living our culture and values among our community

Qualifications

• experience in—and a passion for—education and working with children
• strong communication skills, both oral and written, with a high attention to detail
• excellent organizational and time-management skills
• exemplary customer service skills and a collaborative working style
• not required, but bonuses: a Montessori background and fluency in Spanish
