Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Job at Messiah Lifeways and Menno Haven
Kairos Health Systems is pleased to annouce they have been retained to assist Menno Haven and Messiah Lifeways in their CFO Search.
Messiah Lifeways (Mechanicsburg, PA) and Menno Haven (Chambersburg, PA) are seeking an experienced individual to serve as Chief Financial Officer to manage the financial actions of both organizations. This strategic individual will lead the two organizations efficiently and effectively during the affiliation exploration period, and once affiliated. Messiah Lifeways and Menno Haven are faith-based, non-profit providers of senior care services with similar missions and aligned core values, recognizing the ability to be a stronger and more innovative organization together.
*Please note this position will involve routine travel between the two organizations.
Reporting directly to the CEOs and an integral member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will be responsible for securing, managing and planning of the current and future financial and informational resources necessary to fulfill the mission of Messiah Lifeways and Menno Haven.
The ideal candidate will have a knowledge and understanding of all aspects of fiscal management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment and banking operations. In addition, the candidate will be able to effectively create a positive culture for residents, clients, and team members and develop a cadence of work with a spirit of collaboration in creating the new, united organization.

Educational/Professional qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA, CMA and or MBA required
- 10 years experience in financial leadership roles required, with non-profit, senior living or other healthcare related experience preferred
- Ability to perform effective risk management and act as a strategic business partner for the CEOs to plan the organizations’ financial strategies.
- Knowledge of systems integration and implementation
- Ability to perform an initial gap assessment of each organization’s finance function and develop a strategy for a combined finance function.
