Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Job at Innovative Refrigeration Systems

We are looking for an operations-centric Chief Financial Officer (CFO) that has the experience and ability to help transform a rapidly growing manufacturing, web-based software, and construction & engineering firm. We have significant growth prospects, in addition to a multi-decade record of success with hundreds small customers to Fortune 100 customers. We work throughout the United States and Canada. We are in a dominant market position.

Although construction has been the core of the business, the organization has subsidiaries in several other industries.

This role will be very hands on and focused on finding areas of improvement for the company, as well as overseeing all the accounting and finance functions. The current CFO is retiring in March 2023 and our current controller is a CPA.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a CFO or Controller in a $100+ million construction company and/or manufacturing company (commercial/industrial construction)
  • Experience with companies that have multiple legal entities and intercompany transactions
  • Experience with nationwide work including tax issues
  • Proven track record of process improvement and driving bottom line cost savings or revenue improvement
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (MBA preferred)
  • CPA

Responsibilities:

  • Develop budgets and financial models that coincide with the business plan and yearly forecasts aligned with overall company goals and objectives
  • Work with the President and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process
  • Work with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations for team success
  • Deliver bottom line expense reduction through process improvement
  • Oversee service invoicing, software invoicing, monthly % completion billings, etc.
  • Create forecasts predicting future growth
  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards, KPI’s and other metrics/reporting tools
  • Implement more robust process controls in accounting and throughout the organization
  • Streamline processes to improve efficiency
  • Manage major long term contract agreements including strategic purchasing agreements and customer service agreements
  • Identify and implement tax optimization strategies
  • Identify cost savings opportunities in all business processes
