Holley, the largest and fastest growing group of performance brands in the performance automotive aftermarket is looking for an experienced EV (Electric Vehicles) Category Manager.
The candidate will be responsible for executing our EV product development and commercialization programs, working closely with R&D/Engineering teams through initial concept, sourcing, tooling, validation, launch, and continuous engineering/improvement, post-launch. This position requires high-level data analysis skills. Candidate should be self-disciplined, motivated, and able to communicate clearly with associates and leadership.
Reports to: Director of Product Development/VP of Business Development
Key Job Elements (Essential Functions Performed):

  • Drives the strategic vision, collaboration, and communication within the company for electric vehicle product development. This includes all types of products for both conversion and production electric vehicles
  • Guides the priority of that development and execution based on strategic importance to organizational initiatives, speed to market and the profitability of the product’s business case
  • Assists in identifying talent to build the teams for design and engineering new products in the electric vehicle space. May included targeted sales and marketing personnel
  • Analyzes current electric vehicle sales performance, industry trends, market conditions, and other contributing factors to make recommendations for appropriate product category goals and targets, in connection with strategic planning efforts
  • Works closely with marketing team to establish product release goals, deadlines and provide overall support, as needed
  • Develops category’s strategic and long-range goal planning with input from leadership
  • Continued familiarization with competitive companies, consumer preferences, distribution channels, and other strategic information necessary to perform job function

Professional & Personal Attributes and Expectations

  • Must have an overall understanding of automotive electronic vehicle control systems, including hardware, software, and power management.
  • Should be an enthusiast that currently participates and closely follows the electric vehicle market
  • Candidate must have strong project and time management skills
  • Strong leadership abilities, good communication and social skills, and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to create product development plans / strategies to capture market share, yielding top line & overall company growth
  • Ability to perform financial analysis of new vehicle platforms and products, including (but not limited to): initial investment, pricing structures, return on investment, timeline & milestones, and the ability to estimate the necessary inputs of such analysis
  • Understands the short term and long term needs of the organization and employees; prioritizes accordingly
  • In-depth understanding of consumer needs and behavior
  • Can deliver data and present information via Office programs and tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Etc.)

Basic Qualifications (Education/Experience Required):

  • 5+ years of brand or vehicle product/program management experience required
  • 5+ years of team leadership and development
  • Technical background in automotive or computing electronics
  • Proficiency in common Office suite of programs including project management software
  • Proven ability to communicate well in both verbal and written context and must be able to work well with others in a team building atmosphere
