Family Service Association of Howard County (FSA) has an immediate opening for a Full-time Case Manager for our Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS) contracted programs. We are hiring both professional(Bachelor's degree) or par-professional (high school) level positions.

The FSA Home Based Family Caseworker / Parent Aid provides services to the families provides case management services and support for parents who are unable to appropriately fulfill parenting and/or homemaking functions. The incumbent also may facilitate visits between parents/children/siblings and/or other members who have been separated due to substantiated allegation of abuse or neglect or involvement with juvenile probation.

Education / Experience

For the par-professional level, Parent Aid, the possession of a high shcool deplomia is requred.

For the professional level Home Based Family Caseworker, Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, or Social Work OR a Master’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work; OR Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a directly related human services field is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Driver’s License, have a car for full-time business use and maintain State of Indiana minimum insurance coverage.
• Must be able to pass a local, state, federal and DCS background checks.
• Must be free of contagious illness and conditions.
• Must understand family dynamics, child development and community resources.
• Must possess excellent writing, computer, and communication skills.
• Must possess experience in Microsoft Office software and the ability to learn other software programs currently in use.
