Summary/Objective
Set up and operate all equipment associated with the saw line

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Follows predetermined operating standards (SOP) for maintenance of industrial saws and cutting tools
• Utilize measuring instruments – dial calipers, micrometers, dial indicator while able to maintain predetermined tolerances
• Maintains saw blades according to customer's or manufacturer's specifications, using hand tools, machine tools, and welding equipment: Examines saw for defects.
• Ability to optimize machine utilization with attention to detail
• Computes number and angle of teeth to produce specified cut.
• Clamps blade in saw-filing machine and turns hand wheel to adjust distance between teeth, angle of bevel, and depth of cut of file or abrasive wheel.
• Starts machine that automatically grinds teeth.
