Role Summary

The Packaging Associate is responsible for pulling, shipping and distributing materials following established department procedures. Our standard shift is 6am - 2:45pm, Monday - Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Packages and prepares orders for fulfillment
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station for the shipping department
• Quality control of daily fulfillment orders
• Properly prepare small package shipments for shipping
• Ship small packages utilizing shipping software
• Prepare fulfillment orders for LTL shipments
• Distribute department transfers
• Maintenance – fronting and consolidating products, removing empty boxes and pallets
• Cycle Counts – physical counting of all items
• Verify and sign for all deliveries into the facility
• Verify and distribute paper shipments to the appropriate departments
• Verification of products – accurate receiving counts and documentation preparation
• Putting products away in the warehouse following department processes
• Accurate Data Collection
• Read and understand the Company SOPs for instructions and specifications specific to the manufacturing of a job. Produce all jobs according to the specifications and instructions within the SOP

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in production, packaging, and/or fulfillment is preferred
• Experience with ERP systems preferred
• MED Badge and ServSafe certification or similar required. ServSafe certification can be completed after employment is finalized.

Production Policies

• Jewelry may not be worn in the plant. It makes personal cleanliness difficult, it can get lost in product and injure the customer, or it can cause injury to the employee if caught on equipment. This includes no facial piercings. There are two exceptions: plain rings with no stones; medical alert bracelets.
• Makeup, perfume and cologne is not to be worn.
• Personnel must have trim and clean fingernails. Fake fingernails and nail polish are not permitted, as these may chip off into product and pose a hazard.
• Clean attire is required. Specific clothing is not acceptable on the production floor due to safety or health hazards. This includes anything with decorative beadwork or tassels; anything noticeably worn or frayed; shorts, skirts, tank tops or sleeveless tops; pants that drag across the ground; heels, open-toed shoes.
• MED badges must be worn and displayed.
• Additional policies will be provided on the first day of employment.
