AEGIS is looking to hire experienced security officers and honorably discharged veterans who can work either full-time or as part-time armed and/or unarmed officers. Additional opportunities available with the company.

Job Description:

• Campus Security Officers primary role is campus safety and security.
• Campus Security Officers assist with the functions of physical and personal security, and safety measures for students and faculty.
• Other duties may include access control, crowd control, emergency response, pat down, and law, policy, and code enforcement.

Minimum Requirements:

• One year experience in school security, military, or law enforcement
• This client requires that contracted security staff on site are fully vaccinated for COVID-19. If you are not vaccinated but still interested in a security position at another client site with AEGIS Security & Investigations, Inc., please discuss with your recruiter.
• Valid Guard Card issued by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services
• A GED or High School Diploma / Transcript & Associates Degree or some verifiable college (preferred)
• Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
• Have excellent ENGLISH verbal and written skills
• Be height / weight proportional and have a neat professional appearance
• Have access to reliable transportation and a track record of being ON-TIME to work
• A cell phone that receives text messages and has access to the internet as well as an email address
• Own a black business suit, white button down dress shirt, black tie, belt, socks, and dress shoes or shined boots, and a small flashlight

Availability, Pay & Perks:

• We are currently staffing Monday-Friday in Granada Hills, CA 7am-1:30pm.
• Start date January 8th, 2023.
• Please note that you will be hired on as a regional employee, however feel free to express interest in one of the above available shifts when asked by the recruiter.
• Security Agents typically work as needed 12-50 hours a week throughout the county (including mandatory weekend nights) and are offered full time regular positions after probation.
• Unarmed school security officers pay ranges at $19-20/hr depending on experience, qualifications, and the assignment.
• Experienced Off Duty Officers, EP and Estate Agents are paid the industry standard
• Paid accrued sick leave
