Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida has an opening for a School Cafeteria Worker. This position is responsible for providing support in the cafeteria and work with assigned food service tasks as requested by the School. This person will also be responsible with understanding certain food preparation procedures, cashier duties, and use of kitchen equipment. The School Cafeteria Worker performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
- High-school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
- Good oral and written English-language communication skills.
- Knowledge of kitchen appliances, knife skills and sauté experience required.
- Must have basic math and reading knowledge and must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
- Must be supportive of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church. Experience in a Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Must have a pleasant, service-oriented demeanor.
- Work schedule is Monday thru Friday with occasion weekends.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
