HeartBeet Organic Superfoods Cafe is a plant-based, gluten-free, community-focused health foods cafe with two locations in Seattle (Queen Anne and West Seattle). We pride ourselves on making some of the truly healthiest food around town and creating authentic relationships with our customers.

We are operated by HeartBeet Healthy Inc. and have been in business since 2008. We were founded to create convenient food options that are both healthy and delicious, and aim to improve the well-being of those who patronize our business. We prepare unique drinks (organic juices, superfood smoothies, iced drinks, and elixir shots), food items (savory salads, soups, warm grain bowls, sweet bowls), and desserts made of whole foods including pies, truffles, macaroons, and more.

1635 Queen Anne Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109 - on the top of Queen Anne hill

Duties & Accountabilities

Cafe Team Members (including Shift Leads) are responsible for:

• Assisting customers by recommending menu items and completing sales on a POS system
• Maintain high levels of customer service, ensuring orders are never a hassle
• Prepare drinks, salads, and bowls
• Perform quality assurance checks on customer orders
• Bag orders that have been quality-checked for pickup by customers and delivery drivers
• Boost sales by highlighting add-ons and promotions
• Maintain a clean, organized, upbeat, and efficient operation
• Wash dishes, clean the space, and organize
• Wash produce
• Food prep work as needed to maintain proper inventory
• Assisting other team members as needed to facilitate a team-oriented environment
• Participate in training newer, less experienced team members
• Complete opening and closing checklists
• Maintain the cleanliness of the front of the store, the back parking lot, and the trash area
• Complete additional side tasks and projects as needed

Minimum Job Requirements

• Must be able to walk, stand, talk, hear, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds
• Maintain an active Washington State Food Handler’s Permit
• 6+ months of experience in food service
• Able to access apps via phone or computer to view work schedules, communications, and policies
• Fully vaccinated against Covid-19
• Great attention to detail

Availability

• Part-time, Tuesdays - Fridays from 3pm - Close (7:30-ish) and Saturdays from 11am - 7:30pm
• 26 total hours a week (roughly)
• Set schedule
• Sundays + Mondays OFF!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $19.50 per hour
