The Business Intelligence Developer Position is a full time position of MTW Solutions that requires:

• Working with MTW’s Software Development team in developing and maintaining Data Warehouses and BI-Reports using Microsoft's SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and/or Power BI
• Mentoring other BI Developers who are tasked part-time with BI assignments.
• Recommending and implementing process improvements related to MTW’s technical approach for BI-solution delivery to our clients, in coordination with MTW’s Chief Technologist
• The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a strong, working knowledge of BI data modeling theory
• Demonstrating follow-up skills to ensure issues or enhancement requests have been resolved, and that all affected parties are informed of resolutions.
• Demonstrating customer service and technical skills they have gained from a combination of the required education and professional experience.
• Demonstrating a proven ability to communicate effectively with both non-technical and technical teams to resolve issues within negotiated service levels. The position will also work closely with product managers and client managers, assisting with the tracking and management of the backlog of functionality requests and issue resolutions.
• Leading and/or performing Quality Assurance testing of MTW’s software solutions and the client configurations as part of issue resolution and new release management.
• Assisting in maintaining the user facing Help documentation for the software products and client configurations.

Minimum qualifications

• An Associate Degree in a computer software related discipline. NOTE: A completed post-secondary degree preferred.
• Developing SQL with Relational Databases
• Experience designing a new Data Warehouse, ETL Processes, Star Schemas.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, Integration Services and Microsoft Power-BI
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)

• Experience with Data Warehouse solutions
• Experience testing software solutions
• Ability to learn new systems and software quickly

• Display excellent written and verbal communication skills to customers with varying experience levels
• Professional etiquette (Online Meetings, Phone, and Email). Superior customer service

Responsibilities Each of the following responsibilities is expected of this role after training and/or examples on the subject have been communicated.

• Development of BI-Reporting solutions in support of MTW products.
• Complete time reporting, timely providing details of time spent broken down by task with brief details provided in the ‘comment’ as appropriate.
• Properly document and track issue reports using designated tools or coordinate direct assistance request to technical staff,
• Communication Skills i.e.: Document technical changes in reasonable / non-cryptic detail; Documentation completed using correct English to avoid ambiguity, careful use of acronyms and other jargon – especially when documentation is intended for client eyes.
