Currently we are looking for a experienced Business Development Specialist who will join our team in Union, NJ.

The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparing and submitting Bid Proposals
  • Coordinates and expedites all phases of the contract bidding process
  • Able to conduct market research for competitive advantage
  • Identify partnership opportunities and maintain existing business
  • Develops new relationships in an effort to grow business and help company expand
  • Handles bid documents including reviewing terms and background
  • Contacts vendors to get pricing and following up to meet deadlines
  • Forecasts future sells prices
  • Analyzes profit margin reports
  • Runs monthly sales analysis

Skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience on similar position
  • Knowledge of bidding on contracts (eg. government, public works etc.)
  • Great analytical skills
  • Experience in wholesale, sales, contracts, analysis
  • Experience in professional level writing and proof reading
  • Thorough attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work on tight deadlines
  • Proactive, organized and resourceful, with the ability to balance multiple priorities
  • A degree in a business-related field is preferred
