Empower Rental Group is hiring a Business Development Manager!
Empower Rental Group is a family of local equipment rental providers across the Southeastern US. We began with 3 locations in 2021 with the goal of being the difference in the equipment rental industry by doing everything differently. We now have over 30 locations (crazy right?) and we are hiring a Business Development Manager to our team in the Conyers, GA – Premier Platforms location!

Local rental companies tend to have great customer service, but are limited in their equipment availability, while large companies have more equipment, but often lack effective customer service and have issues with accurate billing. Empower Rental Group combines the best of both worlds. Our network of ever-growing local equipment rental branches keeps the local rental company customer service and feel but allows access to equipment from all of our locations. We pride ourselves on providing service within a few hours (rather than days) and on accurate billing. All of this leads to ERG being a local, no-excuses rental partner.
We are growing fast while changing and evolving every day – and we are seeking high energy, high initiative, adaptable individuals to grow with our company. Our Business Development Managers are held to a high standard and if you don’t want to excel and crush expectations, this is likely not a fit for you. We are a new company making a great name for ourselves. We are aggressively growing our market share but just getting started so for the right candidate that means an almost unlimited earning potential within an assigned book of business. This position pays a base salary plus incentives based on the activity tied to your book of business.
Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for acquiring and retaining key customers within designated customer segments, while building local sales growth plans for individual branch locations. In this role, the Business Development Manager will establish relationships, communicate Empower Rental Group’s value proposition, and identify solutions for their customers.

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
- Actively seek means of growing revenues to improve profitability of the business units under management and to grow the business in size and scope.
- Identify areas where the business can increase its customer base by identifying potential partnerships, opportunities to enhance fleet on rent and open up new accounts.
- Build and maintain positive and profitable customer relationships.
- Develop rapport with internal branch manager and local sales reps.
- Work with the sales operations team to support transactional customer relationships.
- Motivate, mentor and counsel sales personnel throughout the business unit to promote personal and professional growth.
- Develop, create, and execute customer proposals and presentations.
- Implement and utilize analytical and data driven approaches to measuring, managing, and executing strategic partnerships.
- Experience in the heavy equipment industry, such as selling to contractors.
- Demonstrated results in building collaborative and effective sales and marketing teams.
- Respectable to others and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Demonstrated leadership, sales, and negotiation skills.
- Adept in consultative selling techniques and developing customer solutions.
- Evidence of strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to create and maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations to meet company demands and expectations.
- Ability to evaluate alternatives to make the best overall decisions based on utilization metrics, service requirements, economic factors, customer relations, and internal operation needs.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of organization and with key customers as needed.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment and handle moderate stress environment.
