Northrop Grumman’s Space Components Business Unit (SCBU) COI Ceramics is an industry-leading provider of missile and aircraft components. SCBU has an opening for a Business Development Leader in its COI Ceramics operating unit. This position will be located in San Diego, California.
Essential Functions:
- Identifies and implements business development projects relating to standard and new products.
- Reports to the BU level BDEV director and works in conjunction with the site Product Line Leader.
- Assess markets, interface with customers, and generates and maintains new business forecasting.
- Aids in Capture/Proposal management providing key themes, customer priority, and Price to Win
- Aids in Annual Operating Plan development support and Key Partnership Strategic developments
- Represents the Operational Unit at trade shows, seminars, and press relations
- Develops and disseminates information on a continuous basis to all pertinent parties concerning the fulfillment of project goals and objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have experience with COI Ceramics
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 3 years of aerospace or defense industry experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret and/or SAP clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with materials
- Experience working within cross functional teams
- Excellent communication skills
- Broad, enterprise-wide view and understanding of strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
- Strong business acumen and proven track record of providing innovative solutions
