This is an exciting opportunity to join our Technology & Operations organization, one of the largest businesses in BlackRock with more than 4,500 employees globally. Our business is responsible for the end-to-end management of BlackRock’s operating and technology platforms; this includes providing services that impact the product and trade lifecycle, and client and employee experiences.
Your role and impact
We are looking for an experienced administrative professional ready for their next challenge here at the firm! You will support the Global Head of Technology & Operations, who also serves as a member of the firm’s Global Executive Committee and President and CEO of the BlackRock Institutional Trust Company, N.A.
As the gatekeeper and extension of the Global Head of Technology & Operations, you will frequently find yourself in the center of everything and are pivotal to the success of the organization.
Your responsibilities:
Manage the Head of Technology & Operation’s busy and ever-changing calendar
Assist the Head of Technology & Operations in prioritizing and managing his daily activities
Communicate via phone and email to both external and internal stakeholders on behalf of the Head of Technology & Operations
Plan a variety of executive level meetings (virtual and in-person): reserving conference rooms, catering, multimedia, and other essential meeting services
Support organizational activities and large-scale events such as town halls, all hands, leadership offsites or strategy sessions
Coordinate travel arrangements and manage expense reports
Build relationships and partner with other assistants in Technology & Operations and across the firm
Help with any ad-hoc projects as needed
You have…
A minimum five years of administrative or analyst experience in roles that interacted with clients and executive management
The proven record of helping organize presentation material and supporting content creation for senior executives
Organization skills with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks independently
Skills as a problem solver and able to balance multiple, concurrent projects and meet deadlines
A love of collaboration and can work cross-functionally in a virtual or hybrid work environment
Excellent written and verbal communication and the flexibility to adapt your style as needed
Ability to build relationships, both internally and externally
Tech skills and are proficient in MS 365 applications and WebEx.
Team player attitude with a “no task is too small” outlook
Prior experience supporting C-level executives (preferred)
For New York City and California only the salary range for this position is $100,000 – $160,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model
BlackRock’s current hybrid work model is designed to enable in-person connections and collaboration that is core to our culture, while supporting increased flexibility for all employees. In line with local health guidance and regulations, employees are required to work at least 3 days in the office each week, with the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
