JOB SUMMARY:
The IT Business Analyst I will utilize technical and business process knowledge to support and improve ELLWOOD. This entry-level position will primarily be stationed in the Hermitage PA and Hubbard OH offices, will report to ELLWOOD Group’s Director of Corporate Business Systems, and will apprentice under a Senior Business Systems Analyst. This position will work closely with many technical and non-technical people throughout the organization to support ELLWOOD’s Syteline ERP System and with which everything it integrates.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Support ELLWOOD’s primary business systems which includes Syteline ERP, Sharepoint Online, and many other home-grown applications both on-site and cloud based;
  • Effectively facilitate meetings, as well as, brainstorming and requirements gathering sessions;
  • Address changing user requirements while maintaining design and system integrity;
  • Document requirements and workflow diagrams with focus on process improvements;
  • Coordinate procedures development and system documentation;
  • Write technical specifications for custom development and system integration that can be passed to internal, as well as external programming resources as needed;
  • Create and deploy test plans, testing, documenting, and issues tracking;
  • Provide expert coaching, training, and knowledge development to other members of ELLWOOD and its business units;
  • Create and maintain ad hoc data capture systems as required to provide data not captured by core business applications;
  • Ability to be “on-call” as needed, and travel locally between the New Castle, Ellwood City and Grove City, PA areas and regionally up to 15% of the time;
  • Maintain confidentiality at the highest level;
  • Abides by all policies and procedures established by the Company including plant safety regulations and work rules;
  • Meets attendance requirements; and
  • Performs other duties as deemed necessary.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Capability of thinking creatively to originate new ideas and to learn and apply new technologies quickly;
  • Analytical and quantitative skills, including ability to perform a variety of analyses;
  • SQL knowledge and ability to write queries to mine and analyze data;
  • ERP/Integrated manufacturing system implementation experience (Infor Cloudsuite/Syteline preferred);
  • Understanding of Process Flow Analysis, Product Architecture and Design Best Practices, & Data Models;
  • Experience working with developers;
  • Experience reading and executing project plans;
  • Excellent spreadsheet skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Customer service driven with strong interpersonal skills;
  • Detail oriented and analytical/problem solving skills that result in quality solutions;
  • Ability and desire to work well with others;
  • Excellent time management skills;
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently; and
  • Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Industrial Engineering, relevant certificates, or related field or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE

  • Up to three (3) years’ experience as an application analyst or similar business analyst position required, or relevant college coursework;
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of operational and business processes preferred; and
  • ERP/Integrated manufacturing system implementation experience (Syteline preferred).
