Breast Care Navigator

We are looking for a friendly, pleasant, professional Breast Care Navigator to join our team and share our vision at our West Valley City/Fairbourne location.

• Works closely with the radiologist and other members of the healthcare team

• Assisting patient through all aspects of their care with any breast abnormalities

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

What You Will Do:

• Reviews incoming referrals/orders

• Develop documentation tools and resources to meet certification requirements

• Leads and oversees NAPBC & ACR accreditation

• Manage patient population that are found to be high risk for breast cancer and/or patients with dense breast tissue

• Implementation of digital questionnaire to identify high risk patients and/or patients with dense breast tissue

• Counseling patients on the best screening strategies

• Referring to genetic counselors when appropriate

• Follows patients through entire care process; detection, diagnosis, treatment

• Acts as liaison with referring providers

• Follows providers referral preferences and facilitates surgical interventions

• Helps develop support groups or assists patients into support groups

• Patient and community education

• Develops trusted relationships with office team, ancillary team, radiologist, providers, patients, and families

• Assists with genetic testing when appropriate

• Preforms duties when needed to help keep the schedule on track and increase efficiencies within the department

• Helps maintain mammogram ACR & FDA/MQSA requirements

Education and Experience:

• Experience in breast health required

• BLS certification

• Experience with telephone triage and education with clear communication

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Standing and walking for extended periods, Lifting up to 50lbs.

• Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment.

• Inside, climate-controlled working conditions.
