The Digital Creative Team is comprised of designers, art directors, and copywriters working together to translate big ideas of the season into compelling best-in-class digital experiences that are inspirational, on-brand, and create a desire for our products at Pottery Barn. We collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in eComm, Site Development, Brand Marketing, Photo Studio and Catalog to name a few. About the Role
We are looking for a Brand Art Director to join our Digital Creative team. This role will play an integral part in bringing key brand and marketing ideas to life across our digital channels. From brand collaborations to sustainability and brand values campaigns to key WSI-family of brands initiatives this role will be leader in defining and evolving our brand campaign creative. Combining a love for brand building, digital experiences, and storytelling this role will be responsible for concepting and executing creative campaigns that inspire, inform, and engage with our customer.
Responsibilities
- Concept, design and execute elevated digital-centric brand experiences—developing compelling campaigns that stretch across site, email, social and paid channels, occasionally. From the initial marketing brief to concepting through to final execution this role leads every step of the way working closely with marketing, merchandising and product teams
- Lead creative on key initiatives across the WSI family of brands—help to establish a cross-brand eco-system and elevating our creative output
- Support on brand defining and building work. Work closely with creative leadership to continue to evolve our brand standards and pillars, including establishing a new brand book
- Be a center of creative influence: effectively present creative concepts and executions to senior leadership and develop close cross-functional and cross-brand relationships
- Be a driver of digital innovation—ensure our brand creative cuts through and represents current digital trends and best practices
Criteria
- You have a bachelor’s degree or BFA in Graphic Design or a related field
- You have 8+ years of graphic design experience in the digital space, preferably in retail
- Fluent in graphic design tools, including being proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- You’re comfortable creating large brand narrative concepts and driving every element of brand creative from inception to completion
- You are digitally-obsessed. You are familiar with current digital best practices and trends and have experience working directly with UX/UI teams
- You have outstanding communication and presentation skills and have experience establishing close cross-functional partnership. You are consistently a center-of influence among your peers
- You’re comfortable building things: you have experience establishing new creative processes and bringing ways of working to the table that allow you and those around you to do their best work
- People management experience is a plus
- Ability to perform work onsite in the San Francisco office pending state, local, and Company return-to-work guidance during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $134,000 -$150,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
