GENERAL DESCRIPTION -Manage the day to day departmental operations in the aggregate while directing the Supervisor staff. Overseeing the departmental programs: Safety, Quality, Training, Productivity, Maintenance, Crewing and Hiring.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• · Reviews Supervisor performance results and addresses accordingly
• · Ensures shift production requirements are communicated, monitored and achieved
• · Monitor production capabilities of equipment for efficient quality-oriented production
• · Ensure proper maintenance is occurring on all machines
• · Identifies issues and eliminates obstacles
• · Works with Scheduling Manager to coordinate an efficient flow of all jobs through the Bindery
• · Ensures all company policies and standard operating procedures are consistently followed
• · Review: Safety, Quality, Training, Maintenance issues and address accordingly
• · Make and post weekly crewing roster (FT and Temps)
• · Interview and hire for open positions
• · Send out weekly production results to Supervisors
• · Follow up with employees on performance related items (increases, corrective action, training)
• · Manages and approves departmental PTO and schedules appropriate coverage
• · Perform other duties as requested by management

Education:

· High School Diploma equivalent required; college degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• · At least 3 years Prior Bindery Supervisory experience
• · Good Leadership Traits
• · Technical Bindery experience
• · Basic knowledge of computers
• · Good written and verbal communication
• · Good organizational skills
• · Good human relation and leadership skills
• · Mechanical aptitude and good troubleshooting skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
