How You'd Spend Your Day:
- Refinishing damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership quality specifications and time standards.
- Inspecting painted units for quality of workmanship, noting any runs, sags, and unpainted areas.
- Maintaining tools and keeping equipment clean in a proper state of repair.
- Keeping work area clean.
- Partnering and assisting other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
- Complying with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials.
- Comprehending and keeping abreast of, and complying with federal, state, and local regulations that affect Body Shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
About You:
- Must have a minimum of five years' experience in the painting/color tinting field, required.
- Background in waterborne paints a plus but not required.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work under minimal supervision as well as in a team environment.
- Must have basic computer knowledge.
