Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our Logistics team at the Golden Flake location in Birmingham, AL. This role is responsible to oversee operational practices of the Birmingham Warehouse to assure and execute daily goals and corporate objectives. The Warehouse Supervisor acts as the key liaison between warehouse management and warehouse personnel and is accountable for the supervision and training of all logistics personnel. Additionally, the Supervisor is responsible to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while exemplifying leadership, technical knowledge, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluates individual performance and trains personnel to ensure performance standards are met.
• Responsible for managing the Warehouse Lead and the staffing of box line.
• Performs weekly and quarterly inventories and conducts reconciliations when requested.
• Maintains an effective line of communication with Logistics transportation managers and transport drivers to ensure proper departure and delivery schedule.
• Maintains an effective line of communication with production and procurement.
• Ensures that all conveyor systems are running properly and that Maintenance is aware of any mechanical issues.
• Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and dock areas.
• Ensures vacations are properly covered to satisfy expected workload.
• Initiates process improvement and provides advice and recommendations to the Logistics Manager.
• Manages and address issues that arise during the course of the shift.
• Leads projects as assigned by the Logistics Manager.
• Responsible to follow and enforce all Safety rules and report unsafe equipment and practices to the Logistics Manager.
• Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position.
