Join our Human Resources team as a Director, Benefits and serve as the internal expert in the overall strategy, design and implementation of the total rewards programs, including benefits, wellness, and retention programs for the company. The ideal candidate will play a strategic key role on our team ensuring our programs are current and competitive with regards to trends, practices, and costs.
This role will support a diverse workforce comprised of salaried and hourly employees across the US. The position will report into the Chief Human Resources Officer at Cannondale and works closely with the HR teams within Cannondale and Pacific Cycle.
How You'll Contribute:
- Ensure benefit programs meet the needs of the employees and are aligned with the market
- Drive health and wellness sustainability initiatives
- Monitor effectiveness of programs and make recommendations for changes, model cost impact and present recommendations
- Research best practices through surveys and other internal and external information sources
- Develop effective and compelling benefits training and communications strategies, tools and processes to optimize perceived value, improve employee engagement and ensure regulatory compliance
- Draft and implement benefits and related policies
- Ensure compliance with all benefits and related laws and regulations
- Prepare annual functional budget for approval and oversee all benefits and expenses
- Develop and implement appropriate audits for benefit related processes to ensure accurate and efficient processing
- Mentor, train, and performance manage assigned staff
- A leader who is viewed by others as having a high degree of integrity and forethought in his/her approach to making decisions; the ability to act in a transparent and consistent manner while always considering what is best for the organization
- Naturally connects and builds strong relationships with others, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and an ability to communicate clearly and persuasively

What You Bring to the Table:
- This role typically requires at least 10 years' experience in benefits and wellness programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Management or other related discipline; Master's degree preferred
- Knowledge of federal and state laws governing comp and benefits administration practices
- Strong knowledge of HRIS, HCM, data governance and reporting
- Strong knowledge of all functional areas of HR including performance management, benefits, compensation, compliance, HRIS and change management
- Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state employment law, tax codes, and human resources practices
- Ability to operate at a strategic level with senior executives, as well as at a tactical operational level
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to effectively communicate and Influence at all levels
- Can work well in an ever-changing environment
- Strong project management skills
- Proactive, passionate, and self-driven
- Experience managing self-funded benefits plans
