Beautician/Stylist Job at Hawthorne Woods
Looking to make a change in the New Year? Hawthorne Woods Assisted Living is seeking a contracted part-time Stylist/Beautician to provide cosmetology services to our assisted living and memory care residents.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Stylist/Beautician to make a difference in our seniors’ lives!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote a friendly and positive salon environment, welcoming our residents and providing good quality of services that meet their salon needs.
- Able to wash, cut and style women and men’s hair.
- Provide a variety of salon services which include cutting/trimming, setting, coloring, and perming of hair.
- Conduct consultations to determine styling needs and meet those expectations.
- Coordinate and schedule residents’ appointments to continue to build your business.
- Have fun getting to know our residents! Bring your bright personality to help make a positive difference in our residents’ lives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have valid Salon Manager license, Basic Liability Insurance, and be able to work with residents in an Assisted Living and Memory Care community;
- Independently run and operate all aspects of the business and salon operations;
- Able to furnish your own equipment and supplies;
- Flexible with scheduling;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- 1+ years of recent salon experience required;
- Experience with senior population, preferred.
