Bartender The Lakely

The Oxbow Hotel and The Lakely Restaurant and Bar, a boutique property located in downtown Eau Claire, is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and passionate Bartender

As the property prepares to reopen after a year of closure due to COVID-19, The Oxbow & The Lakely is looking to rebuild our hospitality team. The Lakely Bartender will be warm and hospitable, yet professional and exacting while providing above and beyond service in line with Lakely standards and values.

We are looking for an individual that embodies and applies our organizations core values and mission to both immediate and long-term business decisions and to daily operations.

A Bartender must be able to:

• Provide excellent customer service to guests
• Accurately take and execute drink orders for bar and restaurant guests at a rapid pace according to recipe specifications
• Maintain the cleanliness of bar tools and bar areas
• Have comprehensive knowledge of both food and drink menus (e.g., portion sizes, ingredient specifications, sourcing info) as well as having the ability to recommend items based on guest interests and preferences
• Accurately communicate guest orders to necessary team members using the POS system and/or verbal cues as relevant
• Contribute with a team mentality, assisting other areas of the business when needed
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions via POS software and return correct change to patrons
• Perform opening and closing duties to standards required
• Conduct daily business with integrity and empathy

• Work a flexible schedule that will include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

In addition, qualified candidates must have:

• Minimum of one (1) year in a bartender role or a similar position
• A passion for service, exceptional work ethic, and dedication
• Ability to take constructive criticism, learn quickly, and constantly improve
• Demonstrated ability in working within a diverse team

As a farm to fork restaurant, The Lakely offers a seasonally rotating menu that boasts ingredients sourced from local farmers. Beyond craft culinary cuisine, the restaurant also prides itself on its craft cocktail program, with a menu comprised of signature and original liquid favorites. The hotel frequently showcases local talent and features many local art displays and partners with local vendors. In addition to operating as a boutique destination hotel and restaurant, The Oxbow also operates as a private event space for meetings and weddings in addition to functioning as a part time music venue. Our passion for our community is what really drives daily business operations.
