Position Summary: The Food Service Worker is responsible for preparing and/or building food items while providing customer service and adhering to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs.

Essential Functions:

• Prepares and builds food items according to standardized recipes and directions
• Provides consistent quality in the preparation of drinks and brewing of coffee and tea
• Participates actively in training to learn new and promotional products. Continually works to expand product knowledge of coffee and tea
• Maintains a clean and well-stocked store
• Follow fiduciary payment processing policies and procedures with 100% accuracy

• Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures

• Sets up work stations including prep tables, service counters, coffee machines, bars, etc. Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes work stations
• Prepare private event spaces and break areas for a variety of food and beverage related events

• Working knowledge with banquet operations, event set-up and large event service expectations

• Serves food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating the customers' needs

• Replenishes food items and ensure product is stocked to appropriate levels

• Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.

• Adheres to safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation

• Ensures security of company assets

• Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience preferred

• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills

Physical Requirements:

• Carry a friendly, energetic, personable demeanor and have a passion for great customer service, with a customer-first mentality
• Exhibit a strong focus on quality with an interest in learning more about coffee
• Be extremely reliable and punctual
• Enjoy working in a team-environment and building great relationships with their coworkers
• Be able to work quickly, embrace and learn new information, multi-task and incorporate feedback into personal performance
• Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses

• Significant walking or other means of mobility

• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)

• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds

Working Conditions (may add additional conditions specific to defined work location):

• Generally in an indoor setting; however, may supervise outside activities and events

• Varying schedule to include mornings, evenings, weekends and extended hours as business dictates

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in a controlled, temperate environment; however, may be exposed to heat/cold during support of outside activities

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
