GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The incumbent is responsible growth through the support of the daily help desk operations, for assisting customers in day to day transactions, opening new accounts, maintaining cash drawer, closing bank as necessary and answering telephone in a courteous manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Open new accounts, handle file maintenance and assist with record keeping.
- Close checking and savings accounts as necessary.
- Perform opening and closing procedures as assigned.
- Provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Handle deposits, withdrawals, money orders, loan payments, cashier checks, travelers check and credit card advances.
- Maintain customers savings passbooks and Christmas club passbooks.
- Print counter checks and deposit slips for customers.
- Balance and maintain cash drawer.
- Transfer funds and keep journal.
- Process night deposits.
- Answer telephone in a courteous manner.
- Stock desk/teller supplies.
- Help desk troubleshoot and dispatch
- Follow operating procedures for customer service.
- Responsible for multi-function office equipment.
- Mobile communication support.
- Inventory control.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess basic customer service and cash handling skills equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 3 years related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals in situations of a routine nature.
- Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to utilize common sense understanding and deal with problems in repetitive environment to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to include ability to read, analyze, and understand complex documents; ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints; ability to make effective presentations on complex topics to top management, and/or the Board of Directors
SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIRED
- Regular use of highly complex machines and equipment; specialized or advanced software programs.
- Basic: Word Processing/Typing; teller platform
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
