Tandem Bagel Company is looking for a part-time Bakery Assistant at our Hadley location. Pay starts at $16, depending on experience. Responsibilities include light prep, scooping cookies, finishing tea breads, assisting bakers in making bagels, shrink wrapping and packaging pastries, packing orders for shipping, organizing and storing inventory, and end of day cleaning/closing of the bakery. The shift begins at 7 AM, 2/3 days per week (including weekends), for 35-40 hours per week.
Qualified candidates will:
-have one year of bakery experience or relevant culinary school program
-be highly reliable and punctual
-work efficiently and in an organized manner
-be able to lift 50 pounds and be on your feet for 8-10 hours per day
-have a solid working knowledge of food and kitchen safety/sanitation
-have good chemistry with our bakery team
