About the Position
WEI Family Associate Advisors serve as support to Senior Advisors who are the single-point-of-contact liaison between the Walton family households and Walton Enterprises. In this capacity, the Associate Advisor and Senior Advisor are responsible for overseeing and ensuring high-quality, holistic service delivery to family members by strategically directing and coordinating services across all components of the family office, including investments, wealth management, legal, tax, accounting, risk management, communications, and property management.
The ideal individual will be a demonstrated self-starter who is service-oriented, analytical, and resourceful in order to embrace a dynamic range of financial and enterprise-related projects in support of the team and our principals.
Responsibilities
The Associate Advisor will work closely with Senior Advisors on the team to facilitate a range of strategic and tactical cross-functional projects.
General responsibilities include:
- Provide supporting client service role to anticipate and respond to Senior Advisor’s and principals’ needs and requests
- Support Advisors in their efforts to ensure principals receive holistic and integrated family office support across all financial and non-financial services (i.e. political advocacy, property management, IT, security, communications, family learning)
- Develop and produce presentation materials to communicate various financial planning, strategic initiatives, and project management information to our principals
- Liaise with and coordinate advice from other teams and external resources to complete multi-disciplinary projects and deliverables for Senior Advisors and principals
- Perform subject matter research and analysis as it relates to specific family member requests, financial activities, business initiatives, and special projects
- Be prepared to professionally communicate with senior team members both proactively and reactively as appropriate
- Effectively build credibility and trusted relationships with other WEI departments
- Perform other duties as required and necessary to accomplish goals and objectives
Required qualifications are
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting, finance, or related field
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in financial services (investment or commercial banking, consulting, and/or investment management)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- High levels of diplomacy, discretion, empathy, and judgement
Preferred qualifications are
- A course in financial modeling for investments
- Familiarity with analytical programming languages, such as SQL, R, or Python, or data analysis tools (e.g. Tableau, Domo) a plus
- Progress towards or plans to pursue an advanced degree in Finance or Business (such as an MBA), or professional investment certification (CFA, CAIA, CFP) a plus
- Proven project management experience, from conception to completion, coordinating multiple work streams and a wide variety of activities

Compensation and Benefits Information*
Compensation Range: $130,000-165,000
Benefits Information: We offer a comprehensive and generous benefits package which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan and paid time off.

About the Family Services Team
The Family Services Team works with the family principals to provide strategic advice and counsel across financial planning, business development, staffing, office operations, and personal matters. The Family Services. team serves as a liaison between the Walton family households and Walton Enterprises. The team has members based in both the Bentonville, AR and Denver, CO offices.
