Bilingual Assistant Sales Manager
Position Summary/Objective: The Bilingual Assistant Retail Sales Manager role is responsible for assisting customers in purchasing entertainment production equipment and supplies. This role ensures customers receive the highest level of customer service and the showroom is appropriately stocked and well maintained. The Assistant Retail Sales Manager will be primarily responsible for daily showroom operations and performing sales transactions but will assist the Sales Manager as needed. This role is required to work in a team environment as well as independently.


This is a Full Time Salaried Position


Annual Salary: $48,000 to $52,000 + Sales Performance Program


This position will be eligible for medical, dental and vision coverage on the 1st of the month following the start date.


Ancillary benefits, including but not limited to Company 401K program, paid vacation and paid holidays are offered at 90 days of employment.

Essential Functions of the Bilingual Assistant Sales Manager: While not all-inclusive, following is a list of primary and general duties. In addition to these listed duties, this position shall also perform other tasks as assigned, shall abide by all provisions of the Employee Manual, and shall participate in all company initiatives and projects.


Greeting customers in-person and answering/routing phone calls and emails


Process merchandise; purchases, refunds, exchanges, negotiations and up selling


Arranging for delivery/shipment of goods


Assisting in maintaining inventory levels in the stock room and setting up merchandise displays on the sales floor


Maintains product knowledge ( lighting/audio/video ), ability to recommend appropriate product to the client


Collaborate with fellow team members to keep the sales floor area clean and organized at all times

Required Education and Experience of the Bilingual Assistant Sales Manager (bilingual):


Bilingual - Spanish/English (required)


3 years minimum Retail showroom and point of sale experience preferred


3 years experience in the live events industry or entertainment lighting preferred but not required


High School diploma, some college preferred or equivalent industry experience


Familiarity with inventory software systems and the ability to learn new technologies (Netsuite)


Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with customers, managers and fellow team members


Outstanding customer service skills, internal and external, including problem solving


Good working attitude, ability to develop positive relationships with clients and colleagues


Ability to work a flexible schedule


Proficient in email etiquette, data entry. Product research and basic mathematics.

Work Environment of the Bilingual Assistant Sales Manager

This job operates in a retail, office and warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones. This position has routine contact with customers and clients in a retail/office setting.

Physical Demands

The person in this role must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and must move about inside the retail space and office to access file cabinets, office machinery and have routine contact with individuals and customers in the office and retail space. This person in this role must be able to lift 25lbs routinely and up to 100lbs occasionally.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time exempt position. Hours of work can be a typical work day schedule, except during high volume sales periods when evening and weekend work will be required. This position will require evening and weekend work during peak seasons.

Travel

This position requires minimal travel < 25%.
