TechCorr USA Management LLC is a full-service Non-Destructive Testing and Inspection company that is currently seeking candidates for multiple assistant radiographer/radiographer trainee positions. These positions will support our company’s ongoing commitment in providing our customers the highest quality related services throughout Southern California and the Western United States.

Good communication, technical writing skills and the ability to work in a team atmosphere is required for potential candidates.

This is a non-exempt/hourly position which offers a competitive benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision, paid time off and more (available after 90-day evaluation period). 401k enrollment with potential for employer matching contributions available after 12 months of employment. Potential for company sponsored training for future career development is also available after 12 months of employment.

Education and requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Card)
  • Completion of 40-hour radiation safety training course meeting California Code of Regulations Title 17 section 30335.10 curriculum requirements (or equivalent)
  • Must meet criteria of being certified as trustworthy and reliable as identified by the NRC in 10 CFR Part 37
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Candidate will be subject to pre-employment drug/ alcohol screening as well as continuous drug/alcohol screens as required by 3rd party and regulatory requirements.

IRRSP/State radiographer trainee card strongly preferred.

Example of duties

  • Assist in conducting industrial radiographic inspection under the supervision of a qualified radiographer(s)
  • Monitor and maintain control of radiographic equipment at all times while in use
  • Maintain surveillance of posted boundaries to prevent unauthorized personnel from entering while radiographic equipment is present
  • Make required notifications to appointed personnel in the event of an incident or concern
  • Provide assistance with calibration of equipment
  • Aid in the evaluation and documentation of inspection results
  • Assist with the set-up and take down of radiographic equipment
  • Actively participate in TechCorr USA MGMT LLC and Client safety programs
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (word, excel, power point, access, etc.…)
  • Exceptional safety and quality awareness
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Adaptable to changing schedules / flexible work schedule with short notice
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to follow directions/procedures and communicate with clients and co-workers
  • Willingness to travel

Physical Demands and Work Conditions

  • Moving, carrying, lifting, objects in excess of 50 lbs.
  • Climbing and working from ladders, stairs, and scaffolding in excess of 100 ft.
  • Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time
  • Work in indoor and outdoor environments in conditions of extreme heat and cold
  • Work in and near industrial hazards
  • Some travel may be required
